From 15th May -17th May People in India, north Africa, Middle east and South East Asia can spot Venus using Moon as a tool. Importantly experienced observers can witness lunar occultation of Planet Venus on 16th May, which is one of the only such unique event in 2010 involving a major planet.
On 15th May Venus above Moon: After sunset at 7pm one should look towards west direction to find Bright thin Crescent Moon. Just above it one can find Bright Non-twinkling object which is Planet Venus.
Occultation of Venus on 16th May: On 16th May beginning 3.30pm. to 5.30 p.m. depending on location, people in India can notice called Lunar Occultation of Planet Venus in the skies. In which view of Planet Venus is obscured by Moon during its course of journey around earth. Experienced observers with telescopes/powerful binoculars who know to locate Venus in Daytime can notice the Venus disappearing and reappearing in the skies by moon.
